On easter Monday we headed back to Lymington via a Newtown River lunch stop and enjoyed some very pleasant sailing. It never ceases to amaze me how getting total strangers together in a confined space for several days works so well. Each trip we make new friends and meet new people. In our case we all liked to sail more than our respective partners so it’s a great opportunity to get together with others who like the same things, make new friends and learn from each other. And the benefit of chartering is that you have to deal with the weather you get. I think that makes us better sailors!?

We're running a day skipper training course in the Solent during January for the first time in 2012.

It will be interesting to see how many hardy souls come out, and what the conditions are like. At least with the Solent you have an element of shelter.
