This is a great event consisting of day racing aournd the Channel Islands and Cherbourg Peninsula. We'll be using our new roller-reefing genoa, and 3 spinnakers as our headsails, giving us plenty of options for wide-ranging conditions.
Prime Evil, our Sigma 400, is simple to sail, powerful and comfortable. We'll be taking the dinghy and outoard to ensure some independance in the ports we visit. The Tour des Ports starts in Jersey then zigzags around the French coast and other Channel Islands to St Vaast before we head home again. Crew can either join in Gosport for the delivery to Jersey, or join us down there. The delivery is not included in the price, but we will only be looking for a contribution towards food for this.
The cost is £650 a head. This will include use of waterproofs if needed, race entry fees, mooring fees and onboard food. Most evening meals will be eaten ashore - it'd be a shame not to get a flavour of the ports we are visiting wouldn't it? Only two places left.
